Reaching Communities Across Nepal
From the Kathmandu Valley to the foothills of the Himalayas, ENG partners with local schools and communities to identify girls facing significant barriers to education. While each region has unique challenges, our mission remains the same: ensuring every girl has the opportunity to stay in school, pursue her goals, and build a brighter future.
Kathmandu Valley / Bhaktapur
ENG's Largest and Longest-Serving Region
35% of K-12 students / 14 partner schools
The Kathmandu Valley is home to ENG's largest student population and some of our longest-standing school partnerships. While educational opportunities are greater here than in many parts of Nepal, financial hardship, family instability, and unequal access continue to prevent many girls from reaching their full potential.
Lamjung
Supporting Girls in Rural Mountain Communities

Lamjung is one of ENG's most established regions and reflects our commitment to reaching students in rural Nepal. Many girls face long travel distances, limited resources, and increasing educational costs as they advance through school. ENG's support helps ensure these students can continue their education and pursue opportunities beyond secondary school.
Chitwan
Growing Educational Opportunity in Nepal's Southern Plains

Located in Nepal's fertile lowlands, Chitwan combines growing urban centers with underserved rural communities. Many families face economic challenges that make continuing education difficult, particularly for girls. ENG partners with local schools to help students remain enrolled and continue pursuing their academic goals.
Solukhumbu
Reaching Girls in Remote Himalayan Communities

Home to Mount Everest, Solukhumbu is one of the most remote regions where ENG operates. Geographic isolation, challenging terrain, and limited educational resources create significant obstacles for students and families. Through partnerships with local schools and communities, ENG helps girls overcome these barriers and continue their educational journey.
PROGRAM GROWTH
Expanding Educational Opportunity
Between 2016 and 2022, ENG focused on strengthening its scholarship application and selection process, creating a transparent, rigorous, and well-documented approach to identifying students most in need. This foundation enabled the organization to expand its impact with confidence and consistency. In 2023, ENG welcomed its largest-ever incoming class—45 new students—reflecting growing awareness of and trust in our programs across Nepal.

Each student completes a rigorous application process that includes interviews, school recommendations, and home visits. Our growth reflects both rising demand and our commitment to thoughtful, intentional selection.
