Foundation
Through scholarships, educational materials, mentorship, and ongoing support, we help girls pursue education and build more independent futures.
Programs, student support and all activities are led by our local team in Nepal, with oversight, fundraising and long-term support from volunteer leadership in the United States.
We are entirely volunteer-based in the United States, this ensures our donor support goes directly toward helping our students and organization in Nepal.

Empower Nepali Girls is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunity for girls across Nepal. Founded in 2001, Empower Nepali Girls has helped over 2,200 girls achieve their educational goals.
Just $170 USD can support a girl’s primary or secondary education for a year.
Why We Exist
Empower Nepali Girls was founded on the belief that educating girls creates lasting change that reaches far beyond a single student.
When girls have access to education, they are more likely to gain financial independence, contribute to the health and stability of their families, and create new opportunities for future generations.
Investing in girls’ education has a multiplier effect that strengthens families, uplifts communities, and expands opportunity across generations.
Historically, many girls in Nepal were not prioritized for education and were often expected to remain in the home, work in the village, or marry young.
Empower Nepali Girls was created to help change that reality by opening pathways to education, independence, and opportunity.

Our organization is proudly guided by our team in Nepal.
Our leaders and staff work directly within the communities we serve, listening to students, families, schools, and local leaders.
Recommendations, priorities, and day-to-day decisions come from the people closest to the challenges our students face.
Over many years, our Nepal team has built trusted relationships with local schools, government officials, and community leaders.
We focus on regions where educational opportunity is limited and need is greatest, from urban neighborhoods to remote mountain communities.
Each student and family is supported by a dedicated staff advisor who provides mentorship, guidance, and ongoing connection.
